Care Supervisor Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

  1. GP and DN appointments

  2. Representing the home when managers are off

  3. On call responsibilities as allocated

  4. Supervising allocated staff members

  5. Providing formal induction and monitoring of performance of the new staff members

  6. Attending service users reviews and assessment with Manager/ Deputy when required

  7. Participate in recruitment process when required

  8. Personal Care when required

  9. Insuring Policies, Procedures and Guidelines are maintained and adhered to

  10. Managing administration and other medication procedures with the guidance and supervision of Deputy

  11. Cover HCA and SHCA when required

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Care Certificate or equivalent

English and Math’s Functional skills Level 2

Diploma Level 5 or equivalent

 

Preferred Skills

Leadership

Assertiveness

Organisation

Communication

 

Additional Notes

Previous care experience in a leadership role

Formal management/leadership qualifications or training
